Basically just reblogging an article about the Green Man myth, invented in 1939 by an english folklorist. Yep, invented - at least that's all I agree to say considering the absence of proofs. Because that's exactly my problem with neo-paganism : interpreting fragments of ancient civilizations and forcing modern ideas onto them and then claiming that's the meaning of it and that's how it was and that's a universal symbol. My main reason for leaving the neo-pagan networks. Perhaps I've just become too historian, too... scientist. Or perhaps I'm just trying to be careful about the terms I use and the things I believe in instead of swallowing any cool concept as I see so many do. Research, folks, double-crossing and being careful about what we believe in and transmit further. What a perfect conclusion to this article and to my own thoughts.

Pensées et réactions sur bien des choses liées à la spiritualité. Peut-être beaucoup de critiques. Mais aussi beaucoup d'admiration.
